“Pumpkin Dessert”/ Ottoman Style
2 pounds Pumpkin
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Nonstick Sauté Pans (6 quart with a glass top would be great)

Cook Time : 35 min
Ready Time : 50 min

Preparation of the Pumpkin:
Peel, clean inside the pumpkin and cut cube size pieces.
Note: “Whole Foods Market” and “Costco” has sliced Pumpkins.
Tip: Hard Peeled Squash is a great alternative option as well instead of Pumpkin !!!
Place Pumpkin Slices on the Pan.
Pour Sugar over the pumpkin slices.
Place the lid of the Pan.
Low/ Medium heat until it starts boiling.
After it boils for 5 minutes pour 1/2 tsp lemon juice into the syrup.
15 more minutes low heat until each slice becomes shiny and gets a bright color.
Place the desert to a white serving plate.
Individual Preparation for serving:
Desert needs to cool before serving!
1. Place the desert to small plates 4-5 cubes per plate.
2. 1/2 Tbsp. Cream on the side of the desert. (Prepare fresh Heavy Whipping Cream).
10. 1 tsp. of walnut or roasted Almonds over the desert. (Walnut chopped to small pieces).
11. Cinnamon-Drizzle over the desert before you serve.
